Prof. Dr. Kevin Heng is a theoretical astrophysicist who is fascinated by the atmospheres of exoplanets. He is Chair Professor (German: Lehrstuhlinhaber) of “Theoretical Astrophysics of Extrasolar Planets” at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany. He was previously the director of the Center for Space and Habitability (CSH) at the University of Bern, Switzerland. He is the co-founder of the Exoplanets conference series together with Didier Queloz. Prof. Heng is the recipient of a 2017 ERC Consolidator Grant and the 2018 Chambliss Award. He occasionally writes for the American Scientist magazine. He is a Honorary Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Warwick, U.K.
