João de Almeida Simões is current Head of Strategy of Fundação Santander Portugal. Prior to this, he was Manager for Sustainability and Climate Change of Ernst & Young Global Limited handling the ESG Indices and Ratings, Value & Impact Assessment, Diversity & Inclusion and Human Rights portfolio. He was CSR Manager of Foundation SERES where he was Head of the impact area and responsible for implementing frameworks and tools partnering with McKinsey & Company and Deloitte and engaging and identifying new shared value opportunities for companies that represent 70% IBEX35. He is active in cocreating solutions to improve sustainability performance and generate shared value, for business and for society.
